Ultrabook under £500

Can anyone recommend an Ultrabook (or slim/light laptop) for sub £500 which meets the following spec:

15" screen +
Scrabble tile keyboard
W7 or W8
SSD not HDD
Under 1.5kgs

Preferably a:

Lenovo
Acer
Asus

Any ideas?

Don't think that's possible to combine a 15" chassis with sub 1.5kg weight requirement.

http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/...-computers/ultra-portable/NP900X4D-A03UK-spec meets your other requirements but it's not going to be sub £500.

Thanks spicy, I think you're right either spec or budget have to be sacrificed.

The Asus X501 A looks good, 350, 2.1kgs.

To throw my two cents in here,
being sick of 1366x768 being acceptable in 2012 I've got my eye on

It'll set you back a grand though. But probably worth it to avoid such a low res panel and gain some nvidia graphics in an ultrabook chassis. Though it's 14" not 15" and it's 1.6kg but I have my eye on it since it has upgradable RAM and mSATA and SATA drives. None of that soldered rubbish, don't wanna be on 4gb of RAM in 3 years time with a 128GB SSD.

That's a gorgeous spec machine, the finish is so so. I didn't even know Giga makes hardware other than boards.

Are there any reviews?

I guess so for the U2442V the 640m version. U2442F the 650m version is out December.

Nice. Quite buncy though, considering a Macbook Pro isn't far off the same cash. To spend £1k+ on any type of laptop these days, really has to be seriously justified I think.

Does anyone know much about the AMD CPU or battery capacity in the Lenovo S206? It seems very cheap, but those two specs look concerning.
