Ultramon Alternatives

Are there any good free alternatives to ultramon out there?
I read on their site that you only get 30 days of use for free. I really dont think it's worth the £20~ that you would need to pay to register it when all I will really use it for is better management of my wallpapers

Don't you also use the smart taskbar and the next screen/span buttons?

It's true that it doesn't add heaps of functionality, but I can't live without it. Not seen any alternatives.

I never really use the second taskbar because I prefer to use Alt+Tab to switch programs

The span button is no use to me because the screens are in different parts of my desk (one right in front of me and another one on a small shelf to the right)

I rarely use the button to send the program to the other screen because I only ever seem to have iTunes, msn or my email program on the other screen (and none of them work with that button)
