So I've been reading the 4K topics, some Apple TV stuff and also the Movies Anywhere links but I'm drowning in a sea of confusion.

To start with lets keep it simple. So I created an account at myuv.com and and redeemed a code. That said I had to redeem it further with a store, TalkTalk or Flixster. I chose the later. So now I have 2 accounts. Back to myuv to redeem another code. That's a Sony one so I can't redeem it at myuv and now need a Sony Pictures account. What..... As the process is so different between the 2 will I be able to link my Sony Pictures UV account with my myuv.com one? Should I be redeeming using Flixster?

This is obviously the simple stuff before I try and create vudu/ma/us itunes accounts and link them together. Is there an idiots guide explaining how this mess can be understood without a phd?

Well you link your UV account with flixster to start. I have also linked talk talk. But TT only does hd streaming. I've yet to find a TV app that does it all. I do fancy apple but it's a bit steep considering what you are actually buying.

It's a hell of a mess really. I recently got all of my UV codes out and started to redeem them all and ended up with at least four different accounts as well as a Flixster one. I still have three more yet to be redeemed one of which only gives me a choice of TalkTalk yet when I click on redeem just takes me to TT's home page with no obvious place to get my movie. The other two are only available on Flux Player and itunes so won't be bothering with those as I don't want even more players just to watch a film on each. If it was done properly and all the studios got together all the content should be available in one place but instead it's all over the place.

On a side note, I had several codes that had supposedly expired due to the date yet all activated apart from a single code so that was a bonus.

I really can't believe it's this disjointed and complicated. Thanks for the replies.

Yeah it's bonkers. But tbh I've not bought UV codes. All mine come from films I already own so I don't tend to watch a stream if I have a better copy to hand. A nice exception was Fury, which I picked up for £1 off rakuten. That got an update to "4k" which was nice.

I got a UV code for Spiderman homecoming when I bought the blu-ray. I'm still unable to redeem it. For ages the URL they gave resulted in a message saying the site was down for maintenance. Now it's just a page not found. If I follow the redeem link at the top and enter my code it gives options to redeem with either TalkTalk or Sony pictures. No option for Flixter.

Redeem ultraviolet codes via the VUDU website, link this with your moviesanywhere account.

You can redeem Sony codes via moviesanywhere.

Sorry to drop in.what if your going to be getting a apple 4k tv lol.

What is best to do with your codes then ?

thank s

Sign up to a US iTunes account so that you can link a VUDU account and a moviesanywhere account.

Works out much cheaper for purchasing films and you also get them a lot earlier than in the UK.

You can also redeem UK codes on VUDU and moviesanywhere.

I've been trying to sign up to moviesanywhere, but it wont let me as I'm not in the US, and it detects when I try to use a VPN to sign up for it. Any suggestions?

Do you need a vpn to create a american itunes account ?

What happens when you want to then watch the films from that american itunes account, does your tv/apple 4k need to have a vpn so you can watch tem also.

Sounds like a lot of hassle to just have the films early ? is it that much of a price difference, not to mention having to pay for a vpn service ?

Also what woud happen tot he films if they ever found out you was in the say uk using an american one, could you possibly loose movies you bought in the us itunes

No you don’t need a VPN to create a US iTunes account.

Log into your Apple TV with your US account and films will play fine, it’s setup so any country will play the films.

You can also have multiple accounts logged in and you just choose which account you want.

I buy digital codes for 10% of the price of physical disks.
