Having tried Ultrawide a bit more recently I wouldn't mind swapping out from my Dell 1440P 144Hz G-Sync in the new year but as of right now most of these G-Sync Ultrawides look like gaudy kids toys.

Anyone know of any incoming that don't have kiddy'ish branding and designs ?

There is this coming from Samsung http://www.samsung.com/us/computing/monitors/curved/34--cf791-wqhd-monitor-lc34f791wqnxza/#specs

Initially it's a freesync panel, but Samsung have confirmed a Gsync version will be following. Eagerly awaiting reviews of this to see how it handles as a gaming monitor and how much difference quantum dot brings to the table (or desk) :D

Friend of mine just got a Korean monitor that is using that very panel, 34" 3440x1440 Cruved 100Hz Freesync, Crit TV did a video about it, Cost him $700.

Stick the Acer on a VESA arm/mount if you don't like the stand. Might help the Asus one too a little bit at least :)

Good thinking :)

Just found the review you mentioned. Damn looks impressive and a good omen for what's to come. Now I just need to be patient and get the wife to hide my wallet :D

Yeah a quantum dot ultrawide 100Hz panel but with no branding for around £600 is insane :)

Yep, I've got the x34 on an ergotron arm. It looks very understated and rather classy to be honest. Even the 'predator' logo is quite muted in real life so it's a simple floating matt black panel basically.

I have mine mounted on the wall so it's nice and stealth and although I'd rather it not there I agree the Predator logo isn't too bad in the flesh.

I've bought S Korean monitors before and you may have to accept the panels they use have been passed over by the major manufacturers. They also tend to make them in small batches and update them fairly often and of course returns is a bit pointless :)

Microboard are one of my preferred due to the industrial inspired design to some of their monitor cases.
