Hi chaps
Been a while since I've been on the lookout for a new display, but up until a few weeks ago my desk has been cluttered with both a 27" iMac and a 27" Asus ROG Swift PG278.
I've recently sold the iMac to switch to a 2017 MBP - and I also use a MBP with work. However, I still utilise my gaming PC for casual gaming on evenings and weekends.
Essentially, I love my Asus monitor with Gsync - I'm running a GTX1070 - but I want to upgrade to a single display, preferably an ultrawide, that can sit centrally in my desk and have both the MBP connected via USB-C and the PC by Displayport. The MBP would be used for some light graphics works (Photoshop / Lightroom) as well as for Ableton Live. The PC obviously for gaming.
Are there any monitors out there that hit this sweet spot? I'd like to keep the budget to under £1k - but I'm willing to hold off and save additional if the monitor and benefits are worth it. I've seen some like the LG 38UC99 which looks like it could be a good option - or I could drop back to an cheaper/older 1080p display, but worried this might look horrendous with the MBP display spoiling my eyes with sweet high-res candy...
Cheers
