Hi i am looking for a new monitor for a while now and would like some help finding one

I Only have a i5 3570k, 970 and 16GB RAM so unsure if this affects what i can go for but im looking for

must be 1440p minimum. IPS Panel , Gsync/freesync would be nice but not essential and refresh rate as high as possible

although i know with my current system i may not reach the higher frame rates although i will be upgrading later this year

any help and suggestions welcome , thanks

yeah i realise that id be running much lower settings until i upgrade so that is fine,
i guess there are no "budget" options for this kind of thing at 1440p so i guess ill keep an eye out for any deals on an x34p as i will be looking for 1-2 additional monitors to mount with this as well

any thoughts on some monitors that will look "like they belong" side by side with an x34p
1440p again but refresh rate not important

27" 16:9 monitors have the same panel height as a 34" UW give or take a few mm, so a 2560x1440 would be almost identical in height and DPI.

I have a 34" 1440p UW and a 27" 4H monitor in landscape mode and they're the same vertical height and it's not a problem. I also have a 4K monitor in portrait mode and that isn't a problem either.

Rather than have two 1440p monitors in landscape modes, have you considered one of the 49" 32:9 mega-wide monitors like the updated Samsung CRG9?
