I'm looking to jump onto the ultra wide monitor band wagon now that I'm going more working from home

What would people recommend for £400-500

Would go with a RTX2070 and would be used for some gaming as well as office work/internet browsing

Have looked and the MSI MAG341CQ is appealing but wondered what the good folk on here would recommend

I did see this one but had doubts because of several comments about the build quality and QC of the monitors. Whilst the monitor doesnt seem to be in stock anywhere....shame

Yeah he had the same doubts also but seems he got a good one. There is not a massive amount off choice at this price range.

I think the MSI is safe bet and it's been around for a bit and i had looked at it before myself.

Indeed, I am going to wait a little for a final review but I am very happy with the monitor so far.
Good colours, amazing speed and smoothness (144Hz, GSync).
Even HDR was a little better in later tests but not enough to keep it on.

I got mine yesterday and that place still has stock, but I won't push you as you have to be comfortable with your purchase.

Thats worth looking at. I'm tempted to go a little extra over budget with the Asus VG35VQ but can't see much online to review it

Not worth the extra money it offers nothing over the other 100hz VA monitors except i higher price.

The liyama G-Master GB3461WQSU-B1 would be my pick it. IPS 144hz better viewing angles quicker pixel response time and better colour reproduction and all for £400.

But your choice at the end of the day.

Hi

Looking around other sites it look's as if they could be due to arrive in july and OCUK don't have an ETA listed but you could try posting in this thread and you may get an update.

COVID is most likely to blame for the lack of stock.

I read a few reviews on it and said there is a flickering issue with Nvidia GPU's with it. Will have to see if there is a FW update released before pulling the trigger.

@Grahamer72 you might want to look at the Iiyama GB3466WQSU-B1 Curve (1500R) 34” 1440 144Hz VA panel FreeSync Premium Pro as well - same panel as the AOC and very similar set up -see: https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/comparison/739112f43d. Will be in stock (in theory) around the same time (~mid-July). Iiyama appear to have made a few tweaks to the panel, since it has the 'Freesync Premium Pro' certification e.g. the brightness is 400cd/m2, compared to 300cd/m2 on the AOC. Having debated the pros and cons of various UW in the £400-600 region, this is the choice I have largely settled on.
