open new browser window and log into your account

funnily a few year ago i got one of those saying id been refunded and i actually had been

bonus

Just dont use any links found within the email, chances are they will just lead you straight to a false login page.

Do it in a seperate browser.

So instead of checking your PayPal account to find out if the email is genuine, you start a thread here.

Um... indeed.

Well surely you can work out if the refund is real or not, looking at your paypal. Simple to use, no? I've only been on the forums a short while and the amount of people who can't live their own life / do things without asking first is a joke!

I read that post, and it seems you still haven't been able to see if the refund is related or not. As I said, its simple, no? You don't really need any help do you.

Well is it real? You tell me... There is a refund for £ in my account but the balance is still zero overall. If you're so smart you tell me why that is genius.

Because you will think "SWEET!" and click the 'login' link in that e-mail. That link will direct you to a fake login which will log your details and then they will check out your account for any funds.

Pretty blatent mate.

Maybe the funds are clearing, can you not see any info regarding where the refund is from? Or does it just say "Refund" - because you aren't really giving a great deal of information.

You said there is a refund detailed on your paypal, what are the details.

It says it has been processing since the 27th and cleared today (7th) How odd... I wonder if it is some kind of credit card fraud or something and Paypal have reversed the payment? There is nothing going in the other direction though

Oh right, sorry.

Thought you just received an e-mail saying you had been refunded yet your paypal account showed no indication of that.

Probably takes a few days to process.
