Is it gay for a man to carry one/have one?

It was raining REALLY heavily all day today and i begun to wonder about umbrellas. However i immediately clocked that this could come across as me potentially being a gayer which isn't cool.

Tldr: Does having an umbrella make you a bum bandit amongst society.

People laugh at me at sixth form for using my umbrella. I laugh at them when they are wet and cold

Hmmm the whole plan was to use it at sixth form. Looks like i shall scrap the idea of purchasing an umbrella.
