Hi, i've had my WRT54GL set up for around a month now. Was just wondering why if I run a port checker from within uTorrent or Azureus for example, it says port xxxxx is open and configured correctly when I haven't set up port forwarding from within the router interface. Speeds are healthy but i'm a bit concerned as i haven't opened any ports.

I'm with the bog standard firmware as I wasn't 100% which version of DD-WRT to download.

If you have UPnP enabled then the programs will open the ports they need and close them when they're finished.

Ah, ok. I'm guessing the safer option is to disable it and to forward the ports manually? Thanks
