Hi All,

Got someone with an issue I have not seen before.

If an email is created, the message can be sent without issue. The recipient receives it and all is well.

If an email is replied to, the message fails to send, popping up the username and password for the SMTP server is incorrect.

Now we know the details are correct else a new message would not send, but I am flummoxed with this issue.

Ideas on a PC screen please.

Thanks

Is this via web based mail or a client e.g. thunderbird, outlook?

Potentially the "reply to" address is incorrect in the client if it's not web based? Seems very odd.

Does it only affect people who reply to that one paticular individual? I've seen issues like this in the past where the person they are trying to reply to seems to have a corrupted signature. Getting them to remove and recreate it has fixed some bizzare issues for me in the past.

Yeah it only happens when she replied to an email. From whom doesn't appear to matter. If an email comes in from [email protected] for example, she cannot reply to it. However if she composes an email to [email protected] it will send fine. If the recipient then responds the reply will fail.

Very weird.
