Un-installing Ad-aware

just bought kaspersky and want to uninstall Ad-aware prior to installation of kaspersky, lavasoft however disagrees, they dont really seem to want me to get rid of it, there appears to be no uninstall application in the lavasoft folder and when i try to uninstall it through the controll panel it says

"Ad-Aware Installation Package has stopped working"

and wont let me do anything else... what do i dooo??? thanks

Try installing Ad-Aware over the top again and then removing it.

+1 i think ccleaner will lauch the actual unistallation setup rather than doing it through any shortcut

but tbh i know running 2 av isn't a good idea but doesn't ad-aware just focus on adware whereas kaspersky, norton, etc don't focus on them that much. i'm running kaspersky is (trial) and mbma (free version) no probs, as long as you don't have more than one real time scanner watching what you do i'd say your ok - but this is only my experience other will/may disagree

also try Revo Unistaller if you have no joy
