I just love Microsoft, whilst I am waiting for razer to sort the problems with the deathadder that is decorating my desk, I decided to reinstall my intellimouse optical on the vista machine, just can't play guildwars without my extra buttons!! So off I toddled to get the vista driver from MS, at least they have one (
) plug in mousey, install drivers, go mouse panel to set the buttons up and am warned that I should plug in my mouse (bit weird as mousey is plugged and glowing like a goodun, and the pointer moves!) set up buttons close control panel and test my double click, nothing, nada
So try out my shift and ctrl buttons, no they don't work either :~( after a little investigation it turns out that Vista thinks my inteli optical is an inteli optical web ( it is not) So off I go to device manager where I tell Vista I know better and force the install of the right driver, now I am happy bunny with all my buttons working just dandy, BUT if flipping MS's own driver department can't get things right how on earth is anybody else expected to??
