Ive spent the better part of this afternoon/evening/night trying to get Vista64 to install on my system with AHCI on in the BIOS. It wouldnt work.
So i installed it via IDE mode, then did the AHCI thing in the registry, then changed the BIOS to AHCI mode, then my USB keyboard/mouse stops working!?
After some faffing with a PS/2 keyboard, installing the Intel INF drivers again, coupled with trying differnt ports, i managed to get my USB Keyboard/Mouse working again.
However, i find it very odd that it only works on two of the 6 ports on my mobo? 1 of the 4 rear and 1 of the 2 front.
Its no biggy, because all the ports do work, ive tryed them with USB sticks, but its just odd that my K/M doesnt work on some, but does on others.
Ideas?
