Unable to access Plex

Hey guys,

I'm running Plex server on Windows Home Server 2011 and all of a sudden it's stopped working (I say all of a sudden, it hasn't worked for weeks).

It runs in my system tray but whenever I try to actually open it I get "404 not found" in my browser. Nothing had changed from the day it worked to the day it stopped working. I have made sure all my ports are open, I even replaced my router (HH4>HH5, not for this reason but thought it may help).

I have un-installed, re-installed plex etc.

I have googled and a few people have had this and have managed to fix it. I have followed all the steps they took to resolve it to no avail.

Any ideas?

Are you putting /web/index.html after the IP

Yea, that's in there. Furthermore, nothing can access the saved videos over the network via plex (Roku etc).

It's so strange it was working fine then for no reason I can imagine I'm unable to access it.

Have you checked to make sure the port isn't being used by something else? Doubtful if it's using he default port, but worth a check.

What would be the best way of checking that?

Try netstat -b -a this will show what EXE are using what port

I had this. you need to delete a folder in the plugin directory I think it was called public or something like that Google it I found it from plex forum
