Hello :-) Not very online and not very good at intro posts, so always make sure to say a big hello to all in first post. Hope everyone had a good holiday season.
Needing to post as just received Kite pc ... AMD Ryzen 7 7700 8 Core 16 Thread CPU, AMD A620M Motherboard, Radeon RX 7600 8GB, 64gb DDR5 RAM ... but can't boot into linux install.

Originally, couldn't use MX Linux snapshot usually use (resolution v bad), so was advised to install latest MX Linux AHS, 23.4, and to add at least kernel 6.7 (added liquorix 6.11) and mesa 24. Unfortunately this hasn't fixed issues ... after successful install of 23.4, can't reboot into the system. Blinking red light for a while, next to the power-on button, just after successfully entering encryption password, and at the same time both monitors lose signal. Nothing further happens.

First overclockers pc, not very tech at all, and not a pc builder, but have been able to maintain basic system since moving to linux in 2017. Very concerned with what's happening. Would much appreciate any advice.

Despite getting lost in the stampede of even one helpful response, just to report back briefly that, with having no manual, trial and error about where to plug things in is what fixed things.

Well done for solving your issue (what was it exactly?) and welcome to the forums! Linux section isn’t the most active, you may find other places a better resource for support if your usual search engine of choice isn’t fruitful. You can submit a help request to overclockers on their main website if you do believe you need support from the vendor. Not sure how or if they would be able to support this though. I’d not heard of MX Linux before. Curious choice for a gaming PC (which is what I understand you ordered). If you are a gamer there are probably better distributions to use but Linux is quite flexible so you could probably make it work for you. Hope things are running smoothly.

Turns out I had things plugged in wrong re gpu/monitors. About MX, it's been top on Distrowatch for ages, just dropped down to 2nd I believe. Have run it for over 2 years, and like it eg due to ability to run simple sysVinit, good basic setup, and their great snapshot/usb tools, where you can backup entire system onto iso, burn that onto a usb, and have an installable version of your system.
Kite isn't a curious choice for doing digital painting, which needs a decent gpu/cpu/ram, especially if doing the very traditional oil-mixing way of painting eg Paintstorm; also Sai2, plus, if use Krita, that is demanding. If I do sometimes run a game, I don't hit issues, but I'm not into Steam/latest games etc. So, yes, thanks, am glad Kite is running smoothly now; the 64 ram at last has made a noticeable difference ... no more lag is always helpful, and great to be back on a main pc after laptop.
