Unable to boot not getting POST either

Hello,

I tried to boot my pc yesterday and got nothing.

I have opened the case and when i press the power button once the fans spin for less than a second then nothing.

I have tried a new power supply, and pulled all the ram gpu etc so its pretty much just the motherboard left and i am still getting nothing.

The motherboard lights up.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received but i am thinking possibly a motherboard /processor failure?

Have you tried to reset the CMOS? Always worth a try.

Yeah, removed the battery even replaced it with a new battery and also tried the jumpers to reset it.

See if you know anyone with a motherboard which is compatible with your CPU who is willing to let you test it?

Failing that you could buy a new motherboard, test it and return it if it still doesn't work.

Looks like i will try another motherboard.

Have you tried starting the PC by shorting the 2 pins where the power switch is plugged into on the motherboard header with a screwdriver? or swap the power button and reset button over on the motherboard header as it might be a faulty switch on the case itself.

Worth a try, otherwise sounds like a faulty mobo
