Hello

I was hoping someone here could help me. I am running vista x64 on a p5w dh deluxe. I use the onboard wireless to connect to WPA-PSK(AES) network through a buffalo whr-hp-g54 router.

Since installing vista I am unable to connect to the network while it is encrypted. If i take the encryption off I can connect fine. The problem it flags up is "Wireless association failed due to an unknown reason."

It is definatly not finger trouble with the passkeys etc as it works fine on the laptop and it worked fine in XP. I suspect it is a driver problem with the onboard wifi adapter.

I am using the latest drivers from the Asus site.

I imagine there is few people in the forums with the same motherboard and vista 64. Has anyone managed to get this working or any ideas on what the problem may be?

Thanks for any help

Kris

Good point, not tried that. What are the differences and how does it affect wireless?

Gone back to XP now as I couldnt get on the net with Vista, willing to give it another go though if I have a firm plan of action on how to fix it.
