Hi guys,

Well i had decided on the 20" Philips 8ms panel, then i popped to a local PC shop to see what it was like before popping up to OCUK to buy it, and due to the fact it was widescreen it seemed small :(

So i get tempted by the Dell 2405FPW, which seems all good, but im iffy about the response times 12ms G2G, 16ms Black to white, before i was using a 10ms black to white.

Now im no huge gamer, i havnt played any FPS other than CS:S and Quake 4 for a while, normally play games like wow. I cannot see the difference on the 10ms panel and my CRT in either FPS's or in wow.

But as ive never used a 16m black to white panel before i dunno how much worse than the 10ms panel it will be.

Also ive just read about the delay on the 2405FPW that peeps have noticed, yet i havnt seen anyone even notice it in the official 2405FPW post, so i guess it cannot be to bad.

Then just to finish off i keep seeing rumours about a 8ms 2407, being shown this or early next month, so maybe i should put up with this ageing CRT thats starting to annoy me with dodgy clarity and see what happens (but we all know what happens then you endup waiting for years ;) )

So after all that any pointers from anyone, how bad is the lag/ghosting on the 2405FPW, should i give in and go for the smaller 20"?

thanks for the info guys, ill be honest atm, my PC cannot run games at 1920x1200, but i dont play many games, and im mostly after it for windows use, where i will make use of the resolution.

thats the idea Magic Man, put up with the 1:1 scaling now, knowing that the panels more future proof than a 1280x1024 19" panel :)
