System:- MB- Asus Maximus VIII Hero, CPU- i7 6700K, GPU GTX 980Ti, 16 GB Fast Ram, Total 1.5 TB SSDs. For some reason I am unable to get into the bios? When I press the start button, with the F2 or Delete key pressed, there is a blank screen for a few seconds and then Win 10 quickly starts, the same as a normal (NO pressed key) start? There is NO post screen, just a few seconds blank screen? I tried changing from a wireless keyboard in case it was not responding before Win 10 started to a wired keyboard, no difference? I put this problem on Asus motherboard forum, no suggestions worked. I tried various settings in msconfig. I tried disconnecting the main C drive, to force a bios start, but again all I get is a continuous blank screen. Win 10 seems to run ok and smoothly, as all my apps, however I would like to find out why I cant get access to the bios anymore. Advice please.

Do you have "Fast Startup Enabled"?

On my PC, to enter bios i press the button on my case and when i see the splash screen i press delete key until it goes to bios.

Can you enter bios through Windows?

If your machine uses the newer UEFI style, you can try and restart straight into it from Windows 10. Do this by:

  1. Go to the start menu
  2. Click Power
  3. Hold the SHIFT key
  4. Click Restart
  5. Wait until the advanced options show
  6. Click Troubleshoot
  7. Click Advanced Options
  8. Click UEFI Firmware Settings
  9. Click Restart
These steps only work with the newer UEFI instead of a traditional BIOS.

I have a similar issue with mine at the moment. Turns out the bios isn't detecting my graphics card in the bios. I hit delete key on start to get into bios then unplug my hdmi and plug it back in again. Maybe that's your issue too.

Iv had the same issue with my 980ti on ryzen/windows 10. Only way I fixed it was clearing CMOS and disabling fast boot. Then it happened again and I had to change display port sockets and it works. Very strange, I blame Microsoft, they've made a real mess recently ><
