First post here, so pleased to be a part of the forum :)

I have come here for a bit of advice really, I decided to start a project for my wife, who years ago used to console game with me. My project therefore is a gaming PC of decent spec, cheap to build and most importantly, fits into the TV console space like a xbox/ps4 as she will be controller based.
I have purchased an old Ivy Bridge i5 CPU with ATX motherboard and Ram really cheap but Im having issues locating a supplier of a micro or mini Atx/Itx board to squeeze into a case.

I will add due to the project being about cost as much as performance, I don't really want to pay £150 for what would be ageing tech as the rest of the build so far, including an RX480 currently stands at £250. The entire build is planned to be i5 16gb ram, rx480 and the target is £350 all in,... im on target to come in under that price too!

Even second hand ones are proving difficult to locate, where have they all gone?

Any advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Mini itx wasn't as popular back then so not as many boards were made and bought. Plus 1155 aged so well that most people are still using them.

My advice would be to sacrifice some space and use an matx or atx board. Mini itx are high demand very low supply so when one does sell prices are astronomical.

Thanks for the advice. The Cpu actually comes with an ATX board but I then had issues finding a suitable case.
Since making my post however I have come accross a second hand micro atx board for sale and email sent.

Thanks again

The problem you are going to have is that because the socket is long dead you are going to be limited to whatever you can pick up second hand and the prices have gone through the roof.
