unable to install programs :S

Hi
On my current (not too good) desktop, i cant install programs, it says something about it 'unable to create temp directory.' i have no idea why not. on this computer its on windows vista 32bit. any help would be appreciated

Who are you logged in as?
Check permissions on C:/Windows/Temp

im logged in as admin, on my own user acc, also i have permission for everything in the folder

Create a new Administrator account and see if you can install programs under this new account. Your current profile may be buggered.

thanks, i tried a new profile wich wos admin and it worked, but is ther any way to fix this acc, as i dnt rely wana have to go to diff user each time i wanna go to my documents, plus i lose all my chrome bookmarks lol. thanks anyway

I don't think there is an easy way to repair the profile, but you could simply transfer your data across to the new account. You can try and do this manually [copy/paste everything across] or use the Windows Easy Transfer Tool
