Ive just installed an 8800gt, card is running fine in games, but i cant seem to be able to read the temps. Ive tried evga precision, msi afterburner and gpuz, all of them are the latest versions. Card is an asus en 8800gt 512.

It has a non-standard temperature sensor on it, that's why. You should have more luck with either Everest or Rivatuner, or of course Asus Smartdoctor.
On the same note, there is no way to monitor fan RPM before you try to suss that one!

Thanks for that, will give asus smart doctor and real temp a try, its only a temporary card till i see what happens with my gtx 280 rma, then ill either stick it in my second system or use it for phsyx.
