Unable to Overclock

Hi,

I am trying to overclock my graphics card and never done it before.

It is old - Gigabyte AMD Radeon R9 270XOC-2GD

I have tried using Radeon Settings > Peformance > Tuning > Global Tuning, anything I type in though in clock control is not respected on GPU or RAM, in that the red bars never go up past their starting values when I stress test. GPU-Z utility says same, no movement when I enter new values and apply./

This version 20.4.2 doesn't have a lot of the options the youtube videos show, there is no where to change it from auto to manual, maybe this is the problem but I can t see a manual anywhere, yet it does allow me to change sliders and I can hear the fan speed ramp up if I move that. So it just looks like the newer version might be more simplistic, ie. there is no way I can set a fan curve that I can see.

Same thing with afterburner, it feels like it is capped / locked by something or I am missing how to enable advanced settings in Radeon software.

Any ideas would be appreciated as I am defeated at this point

Thanks

This was not a solution, it only worked for 5 mins, when I install the 20.x version again it works for 5 mins or so whether in afterburner or and then returns to base level and doesn't care about any settings given to it.

I have tried uninstalling all other software I can think of that might be interfering but unable to find what it is,
