Hi,

I'm getting the following message when I try to play a DVD (just a DVD film) :

'Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer.'

Any ideas how I can fix this, please? Thank you.

Quoted for truth! I love this player! It does anything!
Yep, it has never crashed on me. The options are quite extensive and you feel you can change loads of settings and get VLC working properly, the way you want it rather than just "use" WMP10.

And the other day someone asked me if VLC supports the use of playlists; I didn't know and opened up VLC and found it did.

I have to say, if I nlite a future Windows install I might not bother with WMP10 and nlite that off and integrate VLC instead.

VLC is good but there are a couple of criticism's I have with it. Only recently have they included a feature to turn off the screensaver when playing video, that was very poor but fixed now so whatever.
My major issue with it is that there are no controls when in full screen mode.
