Unable to prevent windows 10

I reserved windows 10 early thinking I would be able to upgrade at my leisure. However, it seemed MS wanted to do it on its schedule. Ok so fair enough I just uninstalled and hid the various updates etc to prevent it. However, the latest lot of windows 7 updates have reintroduced the update for windows 10 again. It is automatically checked to install. So I cancelled my reservation through he upgrade icon. My reservation is cancelled, but windows update still wants to install W10. I have rebooted and rechecked updates several times. Anyone know what to do?

Though it should not be necessary to jump through hoops to avoid Windows 10, and there should be an easy way to opt-out, but meh - MS fails again there sadly.

Go through the list and then hide the unwanted updated. It's probably marked as a recommended update.
