hi, im trying to re-install win7 but im unable to because my keyboard doesnt seem to be working, im booting up from the instlation disk but cant select anything because of the keyboard? how can i overcome this

Are you using a USB keyboard?

If you are is it plugged directly into the motherboards USB port also do you have a PS/2 keyboard to hand.

assuming you can get into the bios ok, have a look for something like "usb legacy devices" and make sure it's set to enabled.

thanks ill give that a go, just wondering if there is a setting in bios that is causing my original error "Fatal error: one or more table pointers are invalid"

ive tryed the suggested Note: If it does not work use the command bootsect.exe /nt60 ALL/force instead of bootsect.exe /nt60 SYS /force

but i cant seem to get it to run it wont run from c: says its not recognised

just checked bios usb legacy devices is enabled;)
thanks
