I have just set up a new PC with an Asus Prime Z390-A motherboard. All appeared to be fine, but I'd shut down the computer from Windows and would come back to find it alive at the Windows desktop. It seems that, after shutting down, it restarts immediately.
I've checked the power button connection on the motherboard and nothing's fishy there. The only way I can keep the computer from rebooting is to shut it down from Windows then, just as it starts to reboot, I turn it off from the case power button.
Any thoughts?
EDIT - Having tried removing all devices and trying one-by-one to see if I could find anything waking the computer, it seems that it's my Oculus Rift S which is plugged into a PCI-E USB card that is the culprit. Power on by PCI-E is disabled in the BIOS and every USB device is prevented from waking the comouter in the device manager.
