I have a macbook pro and I want to buy the
DVSA Complete Theory Test Kit 2016 which is sold on eBay.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Official-...576187?hash=item2821ab737b:g:yBAAAOSw4shX6-Fk

The add says in order to use the DVD on my mac I need to have the following:

Operating System: Mac OS X v10.7 to 10.10
CPU Type and Speed: Intel Core™ Duo or faster processor
Hard Drive Space: 3.5GB free (minimum)
Memory: 1GB (2GB recommended)
Display: 1024 x 768 or higher
DVD-ROM drive: Requires disc in drive to run
DVD-ROM speed: 4x or faster

But I asked the individual who's selling it and he told me I can't use it on my macbook pro. According to him, the DVD is compatible with the Mac but not with newer operating systems ( Over 10.10).

So I would like to know what I can do. I don't know anything about computers so I'm very frustrated. Any feedback on how to proceed will be kindly appreciated.

Do you have any Windows licenses? If it runs on Windows you could temporarily setup a Windows partition with BootCamp, or virtualise it with VirtualBox or parallels?

Pretty sure this is how I ran that exact application on my Macbook pro, straight through Parallels.

It may only be quoted to run up to 10.10 but have you checked online that other people are able to run it on newer versions of osx? It could be that the seller is only quoting what's on the box.
