Unbeatable Socket 939 Dual Core X2 Processor prices @ OcUK!!!!!!

i have 1 of these 4400 s which i bought from overclockers about 9 months ago now for 146 pounds including vat there ok cpus nothing special id get a core2duo over these any day :)
my next cpu is the e6600 when/if the prices for this chips gets slashed?
if not ill be buying another core2duo cpu :)

See if you can find out what the steppings are before you buy.
By all accounts the ADV 4400+ (low voltage models) are absolute dogs when it comes to overclocking, with stories of people barely being able to get 2.5 on water.

If they have ada ccbie's then you're in luck, anything else you'll have trouble getting near the 3ghz on air that you might expect...

Is this one any good for overclocking ADA4400CDBOX?

ADAs are generally better, but you really need the processor stepping to make sure.

If it's retail an ADA should come with a heatpipe cooler.

If I got a 3800+ how much would that overclock by? I've got a opt 144 @ 2.5, it does 1m digits of pi in 33 secs :) How fast would an oc'd 3800+ be?

Im suprised ocuk havent got a batch of opterons(E6) in 165/170/180 these are really good clockers, probably best yet,and prices are £70-£80 incusive vat elsewhere, these make better bang for buck than say 4400x2,sorry to sound negative i just bought a 170 and wished ocuk had some as i like customer support :D
edit: just seen the opteron pricing at ocuk

Got a 4200 at that great price as my 3800 went poof it will tide me over until later in the year :) and yes i looked on the net aswell only 3 or 4 places i use and 939 are high in price as Gibbo said some places are asking that price (3800+4200) for a single core.

Are the Opteron Dual Cores really that much more favourable nowadays? Aren't these all Toledo LCB9E's and LCBKE's that are shipping out at the moment, regardless of them being Opteron or Athlon 64 X2? Although granted the 3800+ and 4200+ has half of the 2x1mb cache cut.
