Unblocking a toilet - toilet brush stuck

My stupid incapable sister was trying to clean the toilet and the brush "fell" off and she decided to flush the toilet. The brush I think has become wedged somewhere and is probably acting as a dam (yuck) and when flushing the water level is rising very high.

What's the best way to deal with this or do we need to call in a plumber?

On a more serious note I'll make her use the binbag idea and get her to grab it. Think I may go do my business first though :p
 
Update -

Dad and I went ahead and unblocked it. One of the worst smells ever, didn't have time to take any photos as I was too busy dealing with s*** (no pun intended!)

As a result, sister was punished with a flat tyre on her way back from town - marvellous!

I'll try that next time she does it.

Although next time, the punishments will be far worse. I'll ensure she has engine failure on the way into town - surely a woman's worst nightmare?!
