Looks like they've just built upon its predecessor which is in no way a bad thing. Animations are more fluid, climbing is pretty much the same aside from a couple of added moves and gunplay looks similar too.

Looks like a winner to me

Looks very good but I am not sure on the setting, I much prefer a Tropical Island to a urban city.

From what i've gathered drake will be travelling around the world in this one, not just restricted to one location. Its confirmed that there'll be snow levels and i've heard that jungle levels haven't been forgotten too.

They need to avoid doing the same location twice and having the name uncharted associated with that theme. Switching it up keeps it feeling fresh and new.

Wonder if we're going to see a return of the wierd things from the first game that were something somethinged by the gold. Can't remember exactly what happened but something somethinged is close enough.

I doubt it skip, apparently drake is now hunting for a new treasure. I hope what you suggest isn't the case as the plot twist, while cool for that specific plot, would be a bit lame across several games.

Has a released date been annoucned for this (even if it is a vague holidays 2009 etc?).

I liked the first game a lot and have not had a gander at the latest Tomb Raider game yet, which is closest to this (especially now he will be travelling world locations, as someone mentioned).
