Just finished the First Uncharted, I have a few questions :)

Has the utterly unfair combat been overhauled in Uncharted 2? How so and is it a significant improvement?

Has the repetitive gun play been sorted?, as this game rapidly got stale at times with the repetitiveness of it

Cheers in advance for answers :)

Seemed the same to me, but I never struggled with U1. Maybe you just suck :p
Not just me, reviews noticed it to :p
Dealing with half a dozen cagey enemies who can take roughly as much damage as you isn't impossible, but it can often take multiple tries, which can be fist-clenchingly frustrating when dealing with wave after wave of enemies. There are portions of the game where it seems like you're just moving from one infuriating firefight to the next,

The only enemies that annoyed me were the shotgun guys. Sometimes they'd catch me off guard and kill me in one shot. The armoured dudes with the miniguns were surprisingly easy as they weren't very mobile and Nate is like a grenade throwing ninja monkey of doom.

Just played the Uncharted 2 Demo, and wow it is so much better in many ways, not least the combat. Shall have to pick this up after I have finished Killzone 2 :D

Cheers for all the replies guys :)

A dodgy part of my brain is actually looking forward to Uncharted NGP more than Uncharted 3  :o

the shooting in the first game was really spotty, bullets sometimes didn't connect when your dead on and the enemy could be much more accurate, and I completed them both on crushing, the second has much much much better combat

The cover system in the first game was slightly better though. You could push the stick to lean over cover or around it. Doesn't work in the second game, annoyingly.
