Uncharted reaches 1million sales

I must admit that I haven't bought any new PS3 games since I got the console back in November.. (haven't bought any new Xbox 360 games since end Nov either but I have 54 or so of them + around 17 Xbox Live Arcade games to finish)
Things will change when the bigger titles are released though.
 
I thoroughly enjoyed this game, the genre can be very hit and miss (same as most I suppose) Glad it has done well and fingers crossed for a sequel as good or better, if it gets a sequel of course
 
To be fair, you have to look at certain examples, one of which would be my parents, they don't play games but are huge video junkies. They firmly believe (and i won't disagree with them) that blu-ray will be the next big format, so they wanted a blu-ray player to go with their tasty HDTV. Being the intelligent consumers that they are, they did a fair bit of research, their conclusion was that the cheapest and best performing blu-ray player on the market was in fact the PS3, so they went and got one. The result of this is a hardware sale that will never have any software sales tied to it. If any game deserved to be the first 'best selling' PS3 game then drakes is definitely it.


Shame the buggers won't let me buy any games to play on it D:
 
Not bad for uncharted seems to sell quite well in Europe on a weekly basis. As for ratchet the ps2 versions only use to sell 1-2 million and I think ratchet is over 600k so far. Insomniac will make there money on resistance 2 and as the user base expands so will sales up to a point

Well I have to admit, Ratchet is just a rental for me, as you know mate I usually buy the MP games and rent the SP games.

And listening to Insomniac's podcast yesterday just makes me want Resistance 2 even more!

As far as i know Motorstorm, RFOM and COD4 have sold over the 2 million mark, with assasins creed, fifa 08, pro evo 08 and uncharted in the 1million plus.
 
Bravo to Naughty Dog. I am loving playing this at the mo. As for buying PS3 games I have 4 so far. Going to be doubling that by the end of next month as I still need to get CoD 4 and Assassins Creed.
