Hey guys. I'm currently running a 650 gtx. And its not great.

I was going to wait until Xmas to upgrade but these prices are ridiculously cheap. I can't find any, any cheaper than this. I'm worries that if I postpone I won't be able to find such a great deal.

These are the cards in question. Same price but one has a higher clock speed and the other double the memory.

I'm also not sure weather just to wait until the 700 series goes down in price. I think I would just sli 2 670's instead.

Thoughts?

The 670 is up there with a 770 when clocked so I wouldn't bother waiting on them coming down in price, as for the 780, SLI 670 will easily beat it and I doubt you will bag a 780 for around £400 anytime soon.

I would bag the 4GB and clock it to the same speed as the 2GB which it should do easily, for an extra £10 the 4GB has got be worth it over the 2GB.

I was going to wait 2 months to see if the gtx 770 would drop in price but just bought Asus gtx 670 4 gig today comes with 2 free games an free delivery so a good deal its fast enough for my Shuttle SH67H7.

Like Raven says get the 4GB and clock it to the same speed as the 2GB, for £210 it's a great card for the money and you could always sell the games if you don't want them ;)

They are silent, really no point getting 4GB, even if it is only £10 more still 4 pints :D

Edit:

I own both the 2GB and 4GB versions of the above card, just plonked in the 4GB card and it boosts to 1110mhz out the box. The 2GB card boosted to 1089mhz out the box, until it got flashed with 1.21v bios and then it boosted to 1215mhz :D
Will be overclocking and testing both the cards @1080 and 1440 resolutions, will be making a thread where all the appropriate VRAM arguments can go in future then :p

So the extra 2gb doesn't make much difference? Clock speed is the deciding factor?

So excited to try my 670 PE, my new parts have just been shipped so if I'm lucky I will have them tomorrow. I'm currently using a GTX 460 which has been a very good card for me,but with current games it's choking and time to upgrade.

I've heard nothing but good things about the GTX 670 so I'm hoping it doesn't disappoint! I'd go with the 670 if you're looking to upgrade.

The MSI looks cooler and it's blue and I like the 'self cleaning novelty' :P but the 2gb Asus has better benchmarks without overclock so I guess I'm going with that. I dont really need the 4gb as I'm only gaming using one monitor plus an accessory monitor at a different resolution. Thanks for the help! Always great responses here. My first port of call for advice.
