Hi

My laptop went down and as always I hadn't back up lately . I've reinstalled windows and I need to get the some of the old files that have been covered by the reformat recreated.

What software would people recommend. I need software that will not only recover the files but actually recreate them.

Since you reinstalled Windows, I doubt you would get much if any data back as the reinstlation would've writen over the old data on the hard drive. However try GetBackData usally works for me.

R-Studio is good but It is about £70. I have had lots of success with it.

Buying that depends on how valuable your data is.
