Under-desk Exercise Machine?

I'm sure I'm not the only one here who spends the vast majority of their life sat at their computer desk.

For some time now I've been looking for something like a mini-exercise bike which I can keep under my desk to exercise while I'm at the computer, which you would think would be a fairly simple thing to find. However it really... isn't. :/ Googling seems to produce three trains of thought on the matter:

1) Buy an "under the desk exercise bike" - which isn't false advertising because it does fit under the desk, however you can't use it under the desk because there's not enough room for your legs. End up with bruised knees and never use it (or use it like this guy)

2) Do some kind of insane desk mod so you end up with like a treadmill under your desk

3) Abandon the desk entirely and switch to a laptop, which you can mount on a full-size exercise machine

Thing is... all of these solutions are fairly awful or non-applicable.

Does anyone out there know of any practical device that I can use while sitting normally at a desk, which will give me some small amount of exercise and stave off DVT? (Failing that, any budding young inventers want to make such a thing? There's clearly a gap in the market.)

I currently have an exercise bike very similar to this, but I can't actually pedal with it while it's under the table.

Can you confirm that the one you linked to can be used while under a desk?
