I want to build a small shelf under the desk suspended from the bottom of the desk. This will have my Mac mini on it and give it room to breath, unlike the Mac mini under desk mounts you can buy.

What I need is 4 small “rods” that can be screwed into the shelf at one end and the other into the under side of the desk.

similar to this but both ends allow me to screw into wood.

any ideas?

In. Also looking to build something like this to hide my work computer (similar size to Mac mini i guess) and cables etc especially now the cat has taken a liking to the desk

Know the things you need
But can't remember at the moment where I saw them sadly
They don't screw into the wood though as heavy weight could rip them out
You drill a small hole in the wood and put a nut/bolt washer too if belt and braces guy on them~the ends are threaded
Obviously if it's somewhere visible then countersinking and filling over the nut/bolt/washer is an option if worried about seeing it
Will probably remember where I saw them later when not consciously thinking about it
