Browsing the forums this evening I see a lot of screen shots with ram that seems to be much faster than what I have?

My motherboard is an Asus P5NSLI, ram is 2048 MB CORSAIR DDR2-667 PC5300 (4 sticks), Intel Core 2 E6600

Could and should I be getting more power out of this ram? I've seen options in my bios in regards to ram timings, is there anything I could do?

To raise the actual ram speed (Mhz), you can overclock the cpu by increasing the fsb, or you can change the cpu:ram divider from 1:1 to 4:5, which would run your ram at it's rated speed (667Mhz).

If you raise the ram speed with the ram timings set on 'auto' (SPD), then the mobo will probably relax the timings to 5,5,5,? so you'll need to manually set them back to 4,4,4,16 (or whatever works for that ram), and you'll probably need to raise the vdimm (ram voltage) too.
