Kitchen rip-out starts Monday - we've taken delivery of the bulk of what we're installing (carcasses, doors & sink) but stuck on a tap.
She wants a tall, pull-out sprayer type (so do I), as they're handy for showering the cats/kittens, on top of other general use.
With all the news of water companies allowing seriously nasty stuff into the mains water supplies, I think it would be money well spent to give ourselves a source of clean, drinkable water...
I'd like to install a filtration system - either to a separate tap, but preferably to the mixer tap like previously mentioned. I've found a few options on Amazon - mixer tap, pull-out sprayer and separate "nozzle" for dispensing filtered water.
I've seen 3 stage under-sink filter systems that either link to an individual drinking-water tap, or to a 3-in-1 mixer.
Has anyone got experience of using an under-sink water filter? Prices vary from £50 to £1200 - I'm not bothered about a Reverse-Osmosis or UV light system, just one that removes any potential bugs, softens our incredibly chalky supply and hopefully reduce the amount of plastic bottles that get thrown in the recycling (Costco Kirkland 500ml bottles, £4.79 for a pack of 40)
