Hi!
So a quick question.
I have been gaming on a PS5
I was going to upgrade to the pro, but for the crazy price I moved back over to PC gaming
I'm currently running a 4080. It's great, but honestly I can do fine with something less powerful.
This summer my apartment is like a sauna, it was honestly overwhelming
Gaming on the PS5 was doable, although it definitely added to the heat.
The 4080 is crazy hot, I'm actually holding off from turning on the radiator as it serves the same purpose.
When summer comes around again it won't be doable.
So it got me thinking.
The 5070 will launch early next year, I would sell the 4080 and still get a fair price, then get a 5070
To get an idea of things I started looking at the 4070.
What kind of temperature do you think I would hit, if I undervolted and underclocked it?
I think the PS5 draws on average 150w and hits a temp of around 50 Celsius max ( I might be totally wrong.
The 4070 draws an average of 180w max, and I'm unsure of temps.
I also run a i5-13600k, I would undervolt this
Would it be viable to have system draw the same if not less then the PS5, be cooler than the PS5 and also have a lot more performance?
Thanks for any input
