Yo.

Currently figuring out what to do with the quite large en suite that has appeared as part of our new house loft conversion.

I’ve run a feed from the new consumer unit - so got loads of options power wise.

It’s only really to take the chill of the tiles and will be in conjunction with an electric towel radiator.

Anybody have any recommendations or are they much of a muchness?

Discounting the shower tray and fixed items - only need about 3m2.

Anybody used them? Anybody have any experience?!

Cheers.

Even though my bathroom has a huge radiator it never gets really warm.
A few years ago I bought one of these and it really does warm the room up - so much you don't have it on for long.

Got in habit now of putting it on before you go in shower then turn it off and if you are cold when you get out just turn it on -it also acts as a body dryer.
For us it doesn't use a lot of energy as it's only on for 5 min max.

I have shower boards - you can even lean on them they are so warm.

We have the Pro Warm mats in both bathrooms and they work ok. Take 30 mins to warm up but you can use them with a programable thermostat so if you are always using the bathroom at the same time each day then its ok. If you want to get up and turn them on as you get in the shower it wont work. You can leave them on for a good period each day but they arent the cheapest thing to run, so couple of hours a day soon adds up!
