Underperforming HD 7950

I have just run the mafia 2 benchmark all maxed at 1920x1200 with my gigabyte hd 7950 oc and got an avarage framerate of 19.8 , card is clocking up acording to gpuz . I cant think whats wrong as most benchmarks say it should be over 100 . ???

Are you using lucid virtu ?

Is physx enabled?
Does it perform ok in other games?

No lucid virtu and just scored over 8000 in 3d mark 11 . and physics medium

Well that sounds reasonable, I take it you haven't overclocked it.

Try reinstalling your drivers a d making sure physx is disabled in the mafia 2 settings.

Full sytem spec please, do all other games run ok?

Card running at 1040/1450 . I wiil disable physics and giv it a go .

Rest of system 2500k @ 4.5 ghz , 8 gb gskill and win 7 64 .

Good luck mate, I'm sure its because your CPU is doing the physx.
Nice rig otherwise, similar to mine.

It didn't like physis . I turned it off and my FPS shot up to 84.2 .
