Which models of R6 & ninja came with an underseat exhaust?

Are there any other 600cc sport tourer/supersports that had an underseat exhaust?

newer vfr 800 did . cbr600rr also did as does the trumpet .. Newer fz does .. cant think of any other ones

R6 has never had an underseat exhaust.

some that spring to mind: 600rr, 675, zx6r 636

I think it's from about 2005 to 2008. Mine's the later model where the moved the exhaust down to the side, shame really as I liked the underseat exhaust.

You do get better access to the rear caliper though. And a heated seat for when it's cold.

Not sure I agree. Sure weight isnt in the ideal spot but not really a problem for a race system which doesnt have much to it.

The longer system does make them quieter which in turn makes bikes with full race systems able to run at more track days where noise is an issue. New big bang R1 is very quiet, ive measured more than a few in the mid 90's and these are full blown superbikes.

Also means if/when a bike is crashed its less likely to be damaged

The reason I'm asking is becuase my mate wants a 600 bike with a with an underseat exhaust.

It's something he really likes the look of so it's become his main criteria when looking at suitable bikes!
