I have been doing a bit of recent research on FPS and refresh rates and am starting to fully understand issues such as opera effect and 3:2 pulldown (I had heard of these terms but never really bothered to look into exactly what they were).
I now understand why a TV with native 120hz will give a purer playback of 24fps footage.
What I don't understand, now, is if a TV is natively 120hz, will that then not cause problems for UK broadcast shown at 25/50 fps (i.e. these numbers do not divide completely into 120)?
Or do all 120hz TVs automatically support 100hz natively too?
