Hello,

I'm putting together a new system (with a lot of help from these boards), and am onto the final piece of the puzzle - the case.

I'm looking for the best tower I could get for around £50-70 .

I would like black or aluminium finish, and preferably as full of understated cool as possible (i.e. no flashy things, just smooth and concealed - think Audi or VW)

The system is as below, please give me your suggestions!

Sapphire PURE Innovation Gruper Radeon Xpress 200P (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard

CP-127-AM AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+ (Socket 939) - Retail

MY-046-GL GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC3200 Value Dual Channel Kit CAS3

HD-045-WD Western Digital Caviar Special Edition 320GB 3200JD SATA 8MB Cache

CA-005-HP Hiper HPU-4K580-MK Type R 580W Modular ATX2.2 PSU - Black UV

ATI x1800XT Graphics card

Lian Li then :D

Take a look at the Lian Li pc7, it seems EXACTLY what your after!

If you read the sticky with my case buying guide about Aluminium cases there is some more information.

Might give you some ideas of the models you like the look of.

Ooh yes, thanks, thats a very nice case.

One question - what is a 'midi-tower'?? does that not mean that it will be a bit too small for all the gubbins i am trying to fit in?

Or has technology moved on since my youth and does 'midi-tower' just mean 'normal-tower'?

Thanks!

Really? I initially chose a nv4 board:
(the Asus A8N-E nForce4 Ultra (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard)

But the people over in the motherboards forum told me to go for a xpress2000 crossfire board instead....

Almost thought I was done, but confused all over again now!

Im a cases person, im only up to date with how it was on release date, so Ignore me to :p

I think I should get out of this section more, but I have a nice little fire and its all cosey :D
