Hi,

I wanted to share my results with undervolting my GPU and ask for advices.

I have made this voltage curve : https://www.casimages.com/i/201111101728556514.png.html
I maxed out the power limit, haven't touched anything else.

Here's the results on timespy : https://www.3dmark.com/spy/15188725
GPuZ capture : https://www.casimages.com/i/201111101738196296.png.html

to compare, here are the results with the "factory oc profile" : https://www.3dmark.com/spy/15188951

However i was just concerned about the perfcap reason, i got pwr and pwr thrm with the curve for instance. could it be an issue?

the results are better with the undervolt even if the card doest not clock as high, 1965vs2010
temps are almost 10c lower.

I used the bench in assassin's creed valhala

Stock oC

Max fps are lower with the curve but the average remains the same.
Also, no issue of perfcam with the curve but there are some with the stock voltage

Also, temps are WAY Lower with the curve !

Do you think I can call it a day and keep it that way or could it be better? Am i way below normal scores for this card with UV?

All is stable, temps are fine, average 58c in game in AC vallhala for instance.

However i feel like restraining a bit the power of the gpu.

How could i overclock it with the voltage curve without rising the temps too much? at with voltage the temperature will be too warm do you think? i'd like to be able to reach at least 2080Mhz for instance like I was able to with the standard OC profile but I don't know at all what voltage I should safely target for that.

Thanks for the help !

No it's not a troll post, it's a legit question. I just want to have an opinion of which voltage I should target on the curve to reach 2080Mhz for instance without setting an offset that usually put too much voltage and heat

Well right now the fan curve isn't that agressive with the undervolt the card stays very cool, 60c max in game @ 1965mhz.

but since i'm kinda new on the voltage curve OC, usually i just add some offset in memory core and vram, i wanted to know what would be safe to do.

For instance this : https://zupimages.net/viewer.php?id=20/46/0edp.png

0.975 @ 2070 mhz, could it be an ok one.? Haven't benched it yet

ah no i haven't posted but that kind of topic usually .. I have issue to get answers since its a bit of a mess lol.

i've just tried this curve on my Strix 3090,

https://www.3dmark.com/compare/spy/15304171/spy/15274495

The score is not that much better than with 0.900 @ 1965hz and i got some perfcap reason pwr + pwr therm in gpu z even with maxed power limit

What does it mean for my card and overclock?

Hi

i've undervolted my Strix 3090 to 0.850 @ 1905 but i find my temps quite hot even with it

while playing some games like days gone, i have around 70c on core and 86c on memory

I game at 3840x1600, i've also put some heatsink and a fan on the backplate to cool vrm but not sure if it does something to be honest

I don't want to go on water for now or change thermal pads for warranty issues

Are thos ok temps for this gpu? I'm quite concerned by temps

If i go lower like 1850 for 0.8 will I lose a lot of performances?

Well i have
Ek aio on front with 6 lian li unifan push pull
3x120 lian li on top exhaust
1 on the back exhaust
P600s case

I've also put heatsinks and a little fan on tje backplate

The 70c is just in some games. In valhalla for instance it's more around 60, days gone for instance seems to have a big hit on gpu temps
