Hi, recently my psu blew (and when i say blew i don't mean there were sparks and smoke, it was more then likely a surge while i was asleep or the fact it was a 8 year old psu) so obviously trying to find out what the problem with my computer was i reset the CMOS via the jumper and taking the battery out, and various other processes of elimination.

Once I had replaced the psu everything is working fine apart from Ive lost my overclock settings which i presume was from resetting my CMOS but also i have 1 hard drive and half my memory that isnt been detected. My MB is a P7P55D-E with a i5-760 and 4x 2gb xms3 memory sticks, are there any settings in the bios that could be causing some hardware to be undected? or does this sound more like more hardware failure?

BIOS settings could possibly be hiding a drive if the port is disabled, but the memory should always be there.

Try the memory one stick at a time in each of the memory slots. This should identify any dead sticks or faulty slots.

What psu was it that blew? It is possible that when it failed it could have killed the drive and memory or affected the motherboard.

This. If the PSU had no protection circuits the motherboard may also have been damaged. Hence why you should never get a cheap PSU...
