You're looking on the job center wedsite and gumtree?, Jesus.

Google 'job' and try any of those sites that come up.

Job center and gumtree? ****

OP plays computer games all day and all night with the occasional look on two really poor job websites. Also sits there conjuring up money making schemes like book keeping.

OP does not really want a job methinks. ;)

A degree ii what subject and what final grade?

What previous employment have you got, and what experience professionally and personally?

Have you considered employment not related to your degree?

Do you have an up to date CV, have you sent it to companies who specialise in employment relating to your degree?

And no disrespect but given your level of competence with English on this forum I would seriously reconsider the option of teaching English as a foreign language.

Sounds a good bet, alongside any industry specific sites for the area you want to get into.

(I never found anything related to what I wanted to do on those generic sites, they all seemed to be sales, recruitment and IT)

At least you don't go on the statistic as unemployed though, they're clever like that. Listen out next time the news tells you how many people are "Unemployed and claiming jobseekers allowance".

Have you considered employment not related to your degree?

This tbh.

Any job is better than no job. You will have all the time in the world to look for a degree related job while you are flipping burgers and salting fries, plus you won't be stealing my hard earned taxes.

Majority of Uni graduates don't end up in a career relating to their degree, that's just life. I know a 30 year old who's still never had a paid job as he refuses to have an occupation that doesn't make use of his environmental science degree. Complete fool.

Overclockers are hiring at the moment :D

Ever actually contacted a company that you want to work for (call them, not email), asking if there is anyone you can send your CV to (get an email address)? Then follow it up the week after, ie 'I was wondering if you had received my CV and had the chance to look through it, would welcome any feedback etc etc)? I've done this and it works a treat.

1. What is your education? B(Eng.) degree in Electronic Engineering

2. What is your status? Made redundant in Sep 2009, finally found work again in Sep 2010

3. How often do you look for jobs? and where? Every week day, online, at Jobcentre termainals, newspapers.

4. How often do you see suitable jobs which you contact/apply for? Found + applied roughly once per work day.

5. How often do you get interview for job? Roughly 1 interview out of every 20 apps. Very depressing.

6. Any other interesting unemployment info? I found that success was not what you know but who you know. I.e. someone being earmarked for a job before the interviews take place. The interview process is therefore just a formality in the recruitment process.

I don't see what the problem is to be honest. I've had a good steady job for 4.5 years now. Seen a few other jobs in the mean time and applied for them, got an interview for every one. Been offered the majority of the jobs, but in the end turned them down as I felt happiest where I currently am.

This may seem completely irresponsible, but you could always put together an expansive list of companies that interest you (based on field of industry/location/grad program/etc.) and then send them your CV... If they say no, then indicate that you're happy to work for free until an open position comes up.

Remember guys, you're talking to someone who wants to become a pro golfer because he is better than his mates at pitch and putt.

I have a sneaky feeling that I know why he's struggling to find a job.
