Uneven core temps.

You could maybe try repasting the cpu and checking the contact of your cooler. But uneven temps is pretty much the norm on all intel quads. Ive owned 9 in recent years and all showed variations. From memory ive only ever seen one screenshot of an intel quad core chip with even core temps.

looks alright to me,it can depend on the chip, some cores are slightly hotter than others,i have a few cpu's that do it

Did that too!! :p

Got to strip my watercooling down yet again so I am going to use the naked Ivy mount kit this time. Doubt if that will make a lot of difference either.

The CPU is de-lidded and 'lapped' but it was done with sandpaper. I haven't lapped the underside of the heatsink, which might be worth a try as it's still showing silver instead of copper. Have you guys done this? Is there some kind of tool for it?

Can't see the picture, but I think from memory my 2500k has always had fairly uneven cores and that has been seated loads of times so it's just luck of the draw I think.

Yeah... It's not a great 4770k from what I've read. It needs a huge Voltage hike to sit at 4.8. Maybe luck of the draw as you say... I'll try to get this cold core clocked a littler faster tho...

I'll get around to it at some point. :)
